We are coming to Disneyland and myself and my daughter have a long list of allergies including, dairy, gluten, soy, tree nuts, and mango. What is the best way to ensure we can eat something especially at a sit down meal?

Welcome to planDisney, Suzy! Thank you so much for stopping by with your question. I can imagine how much it means to you because I also navigate Disneyland Resort visits with food allergy considerations in my family and it is always top of mind for us in our vacation planning.

I'll start by sharing a wonderful resource that might serve as a starting point for any Guest who has allergy-friendly or special dietary requests. You'll find a nice overview on how to navigate allergy-friendly menus at table-service restaurants, quick-service dining locations, kiosks, carts, and even mobile ordering! When it comes specifically to table-service dining, my strategy is to start by using the dining reservation system to communicate our needs in advance. When making your reservation online or within the Disneyland mobile app, you will be prompted to share information about any special dietary requests, including food allergies. Then, when you arrive at the restaurant, I'd suggest letting the Cast Member know about your allergy-friendly request at the host stand and when you get seated at your table. There is always the possibility of requesting to speak with the Chef or a special-diets trained Cast Member, too. Of course, there is no guarantee that every request can be fulfilled, but I've always had such wonderful, kind, and accommodating service at Disneyland Resort dining locations.

Finally, Suzy, I'll mention that Guests who have a medically-restrictive diet or who have multiple food allergies may wish to contact the special diets team by email ahead of their visit. The team can receive requests up to 14 days prior to your arrival. This sounds like it would be a really helpful option for your family.

I hope this has been helpful, Suzy! More than anything, I wish you and your family a wonderful holiday visit to Disneyland Resort, full of magical memories that will last a lifetime. If we can assist with any other support along the way, please feel welcome to come back to planDisney with any questions!

    Magically yours,
