Hello and welcome to planDisney, Kathryn. It just warms my heart to hear that you will be sharing the magic of the Disneyland Resort with your two granddaughters. It won't be long until you will be skipping down Main Street, U.S.A. with Sleeping Beauty Castle in the distance.
The popcorn at the Disneyland Resort is something that I crave pretty much on a daily basis. It's such a great snack while you're in the parks and the smell as you walk by a
Popcorn Cart is irresistible. Unfortunately, there aren't any locations outside of the theme parks where you can purchase this salty snack. However, you can find other park snacks in
Downtown Disney District as well as at the Disneyland Hotel.
In Downtown Disney District, you can stop into
Marceline's Confectionery to find some tasty park snacks like the famous churro toffee and some of the same treats that can be found in the cold cases inside of the Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen of Disneyland Park. And if you head over to
Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill at the Disneyland Hotel, you'll find one of my favorite park treats, the DOLE Whip. Although these snacks are not quite popcorn, perhaps there's another treat that your granddaughter loves.
Popping back over to the topic of popcorn, have you and your granddaughters ever noticed the different dolls turning the popcorn at the various carts throughout the theme parks? Fun fact, they are known as
Roastie-Toasties and each one is different and themed according to their location in the park. Check them out during your next visit. I think my favorite one is the Abominable Snowman near the Matterhorn.
Kathryn, while this might not be the answer you were looking for, I hope the information was still helpful. I hope you and your granddaughters are able to find all of the Roastie-Toasties during your next visit. What a delicious scavenger hunt that will be. Here's to making magical memories at the Happiest Place on Earth!
