Hi there, Paul,
Thank you for your service as a first responder. I hope your time at The Happiest Place on Earth will be a magical reward for your contributions and sacrifices.
It’s great that you are thinking ahead about how to make sure your visit to the Disneyland Resort is safe. I recommend reviewing the
Disneyland Resort rules as well as the
list of permitted items. As all personal items are
subject to inspection, it’s important to refrain from taking weapons or anything that could easily be used as a weapon or be construed to be a weapon when you head to the theme parks. Ultimately, it is up to the discretion of the Security Cast Members performing inspections to determine if an item will be allowed in the theme parks.
For the safety of all Guests, rules apply generally to all areas of the Disneyland Resort, including the
Disneyland Resort Hotels. Special security measures and appropriate
room inspections may be implemented throughout the Disneyland Resort. If you feel strongly about traveling with your trauma shears, I believe you should be OK to take them along with you on your vacation. But to avoid the possibility of having them confiscated at the security checkpoints outside of the
Downtown Disney District and theme parks area, where stricter rules apply, I recommend leaving them behind in your hotel room when you head toward the theme parks.
Thanks again for all you do, Paul. If you have any more questions about your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort, please don’t hesitate to stop by again.
