Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Shaylee!
I’m so excited that your trip to the Disneyland Resort is just a few days away! You are correct, April 13 marks the beginning of Pixar Fest which includes the return of the Paint the Night Parade and the Pixar Play Parade, and the introduction of the
Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular. The Pixar Play Parade and the new fireworks show will take place in Disneyland Park while Paint the Night will perform in Disney California Adventure Park.
If you are looking for the best spot to watch the fireworks, then you have a few great places to try. The first and foremost will be anywhere along Main Street, U.S.A. or the hub which is the area in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. These areas will afford you a great view of the fireworks and all the projections on the castle and the buildings on Main Street, U.S.A. If you are in the hub area, you can see the projections on Matterhorn Bobsleds as well. These areas can be pretty popular and tend to fill up fast, so if you want a slightly less busy area to view the show, try scoping out a spot by “it’s a small world” or by the Rivers of America. The fireworks can be seen from these vantage points and the projections will be displayed on the “it’s a small world” façade and water screens on the Rivers of America.
If you will be watching the
Paint the Night Parade, then you have tons of spots to choose from as the parade route is rather long. You might try to secure a location by The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure or in Hollywood Land.
Have a fantastic time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
