We are coming to Disneyland in August. We are buying 5 day passes. We are planning on going on a Friday and Saturday, and then the following Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Will a photo pass +1 week let us get all the pictures from those days?

Hi there, Michael! Welcome to planDisney. We absolutely love helping fellow Guests like yourself plan magical vacations to the Happiest Place on Earth!

What better way to capture the magic of those memories than by adding Disney PhotoPass to your visit! As a Mom who is usually the one taking all the photos, I just love that there are professional Disney PhotoPass photographers sprinkled throughout the parks to snap those memories for me! I see that you've discovered the PhotoPass+ One Week which gives you access to unlimited digital downloads for seven consecutive days, including attraction photos, Magic Shots, character greetings, and, of course, your park icon shots in front of Cars Land and Sleeping Beauty Castle! If you are starting your PhotoPass+ One Week on a Friday, it will be valid through the following Thursday, so in this case, it would not cover the last two days of your trip. Let's see if we can stir up some pixie-dusted options for you though!

If you have added Genie+ to one or any of your tickets, you will not only get access to Lightning Lanes on select attractions but also unlimited digital downloads of all the Disney PhotoPass photos for each day it is added. This means that even if just one person in your party upgrades to Genie+, that Guest will be able to download and share all the photos from that day. Now, you might have to play around with some Disney math to see what makes the most sense for your trip and your budget, but Genie+ is currently an additional $20 per person per day, with prices subject to change. It may make more sense to purchase Genie+ for each day instead of the Disney PhotoPass+ One Week, and I bet you will love hopping in those Lightning Lanes!

Another idea might be to select a day or two and plan to take most of your photos on those days, limiting the number of days you would need to add the Genie+ perk. Since you are visiting for multiple days, you do have the benefit of time! You can actually plan ahead by checking out where the PhotoPass photographers will be on a specific day. When you open up the Disneyland Mobile App and tap the pinpoint icon, you will see a dropdown menu where you can select PhotoPass. This will show you where the photographers are so you can strategize your top priority shots! You would also need to schedule any attractions that include on-ride photos like Space Mountain and Radiator Springs Racers on those days as well. Disney PhotoPass photographers will also take photos with your phone, so when you do not have Genie+ or a PhotoPass package, you can just ask them to capture that moment on your own device!

Michael, we just heard that our beloved Main Street Electrical Parade and Disneyland Forever fireworks will be having their farewell performances on September 1st! We knew they were only back for a limited time, but I will be so sad to see them go! Be sure to schedule some time to see both of these incredible nighttime spectaculars! If you don't mind waiting a bit, grab a spot on Main Street, U.S.A. for the first parade, then you will be able to fill the street after it passes to catch the fireworks! I never mind staking out a spot early. Grab a sweet treat and use that time to soak in all the magic!
