Hello Lisa, and how exciting that you'll be visiting the Happiest Place on Earth in a few short months!
Since I hail from the Midwest, I always have to streamline my visits to the
Disneyland Resort to maximize time for my family. My overall biggest tip is to prioritize the three to five top things on your list for each theme park you'll be visiting. I've found that if we can accomplish those top attractions, Disney treats, or shops, then we can go about the rest of the day on what our family feels like exploring next!
My family is an attraction loving family, so we love to scope out all of the
Disneyland Park attractions and
Disney California Adventure Park attractions in advance! If you have little ones visiting with you, this is also a great place to see the height requirements, and what to expect for each attraction experience as well.
Lisa, if you're able to fit it into your budget, I also highly recommend purchasing
Disney Genie+ service for each member of your family who will be visiting. You'll be able to save precious time taking advantage of shorter wait times by utilizing
Lightning Lane entrances. We have always purchased it for each day we will be in the theme parks, and it truly is one of the best ways to streamline and maximize time in both parks.
Finally, I do have to mention that one of my favorite festivals, the
Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival, is returning to the Disneyland Resort from March 3 to April 25, 2023! There is a wide variety of delicious dishes for the whole family to enjoy, along with some exciting entertainment for Disney fans of all ages. If you're a fellow foodie like me, I highly recommend checking out the
Festival Marketplaces!
Lisa, I hope all of this information was helpful, and assists in your planning for your upcoming trip. Please do not hesitate to come back to
planDisney with any additional questions, we're here to help sprinkle some extra pixie dust on your next trip!
Have a magical day!
Melissa
