We are coming to Disney World with a 5 year old boy. We can only go to the parks for 2 days. Where should we go? I'd like to avoid park hopper. Is it possible to get the park hopper for just 1 of our days?

    Kimberly:

If I were coming to Disney for just two days, I wouldn't get the park hopper.  Right now, it's $50 plus tax for the duration of your ticket, whether it's 1 day or 10 days....Instead, choose two of the parks and do them right, and with your son's age, I think you'd be more satisfied.

I would recommend Magic Kingdom, of course, and as your second park, Disney's Hollywood Studios.  The Pixar characters at DHS are as familiar to youngsters nowadays as the classic Disney characters at Magic Kingdom.  From Lightning McQueen to Buzz Lightyear, the Muppets to Belle, my kids know the story lines at DHS as well, if not better!  Plus, it has one of our favorite parades.  And if your boy is a young Padawan Learner, you'll want to check out the new Jedi Training next to Star Tours, too!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
