We are coming to Disney World in Sept. Having the problem deciding what type of stroller to bring for my 3 and 1 year old. Double/single, umberella?! When travelling on the bus, do you have to hold the stroller with you?

    HI Kerri,

There are a lot of opinions on the Panel about what types of strollers work best in the parks for any number of "kid configurations", so feel free to search for some additional views.  Your kids are relatively small (and light, I'm guessing), so if one adult can handle pushing both kids, a double is a great idea.  This way, you'll have one adult available to take your oldest for a potty break, grab a table at a counter service meal, etc.  When my kids were younger, we used a side-by-side MacClaren that was great.  It folded easily and was light weight.  You will have to fold the stroller to board the buses, but there is generally plenty of room to stick strollers under your seat, or in front of your legs while you are seated.  You don't have to fold the stroller on the monorail in most cases.

When kids are older (and heavier) it can get tough for one adult to push them all day, so, at that point, I'd recommend switching to two lightweight strollers (umbrellas with a good canopy are great).

My other recommendations for a stroller with young children include having reclining seats (for naps), good sized canopies and a cup holder for drinks/snacks.  I've never thought  a basket was critical because you can hang your park gear on the handles as you go.  If you are going during the summer, I also recommend some portable clip-on (battery operated) fans.  These really help in the middle of a hot day!  I've found them at Walmart (online).

    Have a wonderful trip!
