Hi Barbara,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! The food at the Walt Disney World Resort just makes me happy, but, with food allergies, my family has to plan ahead.
First, be sure you note your
special dietary request when making
dining reservations. You can email a cast member at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com after you have made your dining reservations or call and speak to a cast member at 407-939-3463. Our experience has been wonderful. Once our request was noted on our reservation, at each table-service restaurant, our server has verified what our special dietary needs are. Typically, those have been printed on a type of receipt. At some restaurants, a chef has come to the table to personally discuss with us what we can or cannot eat from the menu.
We also always check the menus of restaurants we plan to visit. A few of our favorite restaurants are Sunshine Seasons in Epcot,
Be Our Guest in Magic Kingdom, and
50's Prime Time Café in Disney's Hollywood Studios. We have also received
special menus at restaurants to let us know which specific foods would be OK for us to eat. And, we take our own snacks to be sure our girls have snacks they can eat.
Barbara, I suggest that you call as soon as possible once you have made your dining reservations. We have found the special diets team to be outstanding in accommodating our dietary needs!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
