We are coming to Disney World October 6 thru 11 2017. How are the crowds this week ?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jeff!

I’m so excited to learn you are preparing for a visit during October. I absolutely love visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during the fall months. Not only is the Florida summer heat simmering down, allowing for more comfortable temperatures, but the super fun and beautiful autumn décor is harvest-ready, making for some fall-tastic photo-ops during your visit.

Jeff, anticipating crowd levels can be a great idea when planning your visit, just as long as you are prepared for the unexpected. Aside from the major holidays and school breaks that can often bring in more families, predicting crowd levels is more of a guessing game than a pure science. That being said, I personally reference online crowd calendars that provide a good idea of what to expect during your visiting dates. And although not always accurate, they can be near the mark most of the time. According to my personal go-to, undercover tourist, your dates are showing moderate crowd levels.

Don’t forget to utilize your FastPass+ which will allow you to save time while touring the parks, allowing you to enjoy even more of the magic during your visit, even on days when it might be more crowded. Be sure to mark your calendar with the important planning dates; 60-days in advance if you’re staying onsite, 30-days if you’re staying off-property.

Be sure to check out the wonder-Fall special events taking place during your visit like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival.

    Have a magical day,
