Hello, we are coming to Disney World in November and staying at Fort Wilderness. We have the Quick Service Dining Plan. Can you tell me I’d Firt Wilderness has and quick service counters, and if so, where are they?

Hello, Kimberly. Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I happen to love staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. It has become a new tradition for my family to stay in the Cabins over Christmas. It's so much fun. I think you'll be happy to know that you have a couple of Quick Service Dining locations to choose from when you stay at the Fort. Where I think you'll probably dine the most is P & J's Southern Takeout which can be found in The Settlement area of the resort. They serve up hardy breakfast, lunch, and dinner options on the menu. During breakfast, I am pretty partial to Mickey Waffles but I've had quite a bit of the food offered and it's all delicious. What I like about the lunch and dinner menu is it's actually the same food from the Trail's End buffet. You can choose from dishes like fried chicken, ribs, ribs AND chicken, pizza, sandwiches, burgers and so much more. You are absolutely going to want to grab food from there during your vacation. You'll also be able to use your Disney Dining Plan at the Meadow Snack Bar which can be found by the pool. You'll be able to order salads, sandwiches, wraps and pizzas there as well as some ice cream treats making it a perfect poolside meal! The Chuck Wagon, found near the Meadows Trading Post is another spot you can use your credits at. Typically this RV style food truck is only open in the evening hours and you can even find s'more making kits there! I think this should really put your mind at ease because there are so many options for you to choose from!

While you are staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness & Campground, if you haven't already, I suggest renting a golf cart. It's a huge resort and a golf cart makes it so easy to zip around anywhere you want to go. And if you can find time in your itinerary, try to stop by Chip ‘N’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long. While other resorts do have campfires, this experience is unique only to Fort Wilderness and I love it!

I hope this helps you plan how you want to use your Disney Dining Plan. If you have any other questions, please feel free come back and ask me. Enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
