We are coming to Disney World next year but we are not staying at Disney Resorts, we are thinking of getting a 3 day pass for the theme parks, I was curious if the magicbands are available for the park passes even though we aren't staying at Disney.

Welcome to the Moms Panel, Nicole!

As a Guest staying off-site, you can purchase MagicBands once you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort. You may scan them Mickey-to-Mickey at park entrances and FastPass+ queues!

If you link your MagicBands to your My Disney Experience account, then you will be able to access Theme Park Tickets and FastPass+ selections using your MagicBands. If you bought park passes prior to departure and linked them to your My Disney Experience account, you can book 3 FastPass+ selections, up to 30 days in advance of each theme park visit day. Unfortunately, you will not be able to use your MagicBands for in-park purchases. Since you are staying off-site, it won't be possible to link your credit card to your MagicBands for in-park purchases and to pay for dining. That said, you may still use MagicBands for Park Tickets, FastPass+ access and Disney PhotoPass® Service.

Disney Mom Tip: Do purchase the Memory Maker in advance, and link it to your My Disney Experience account too. Then wear your MagicBands on attractions offering PhotoPass photos and videos. When you see Disney PhotoPass Photographers, ask them for Magic Shots and Animated Magic Shots.

I hope you found this information useful, Nicole. Come back soon with more questions!

Wishing you a most magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
