Hi there! We are coming to Disney World next week (can’t wait!) with our 4yo and planning to go to Hollywood Studios to do the shows and Hollywood and vine. We’re planning 4PM beauty and the beast and 5pm little mermaid. Can we make it to 5:30 frozen too?

Hello, V. Patrice, and welcome to planDisney!

The countdown is officially ON to your magical Walt Disney World vacation! I know how excited you must be feeling right now - I'm always full of energy and excitement in the days leading up to a Disney vacation! I've traveled to lots of wonderful places over the years, but the sense of anticipation before a Disney World trip is truly something else. So I hope your bags are packed, my friend, and that you've left some extra space in your suitcase for all the souvenirs you'll bring home!

    V. Patrice, I'm happy to hear you're prioritizing the shows at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Not only are they top-tier productions, but they also make a great relaxation break, especially for the little ones. My kids have always loved singing along at shows all over Disney World, like Festival of the Lion King at Animal Kingdom Park and the Country Bear Musical Jamboree over at Magic Kingdom.

Now, let's talk about your plans for your day at Hollywood Studios. The runtime for Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage is about 30 minutes. This leaves you half an hour to make it to Animation Courtyard for the 5 PM showing of The Little Mermaid - A Musical Adventure. I recommend taking a bathroom break right after Beauty and the Beast and then making your way directly to The Little Mermaid. The Little Mermaid show is about 20 minutes long, so if you also want to make the 5:30 showing of For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, your 4-year-old will definitely not have time for a potty break in between. So do it now and get it out of the way!

After The Little Mermaid - A Musical Adventure (this is a fin-tastic show, by the way), you'll need to make a mad dash for the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. It's just across the way (on the other side of Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway), but you'll still need to make it snappy. With a little faith, trust, and pixie dust, you can probably make it just in the nick of time. To make this a little less stressful, consider booking Lightning Lanes for these experiences to guarantee your spot at the specific times you want.

I hope this helps, V. Patrice, and that your Disney World vacation is full of magic and memories. If you have any other questions, you know where to find me right here at planDisney!

    Magic awaits,

    Allison
