We are coming to Disney world in may for my sons 5 birthday. What can we do to make his actual birthday in the park special??? Also we are traveling with a 7 month old are there rides he could come on too?

    Hi Nicole,

My oldest daughter celebrated her 5th birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort and it was a fun day!

Disney has many ways to make your son's day special. You can start by picking up a celebration pin at the front desk of your Walt Disney World Resort or at select locations at the theme parks. Wearing this pin will gather a lot of happy birthdays.

You also might want to let the restaurant you are dining at know you are celebrating your son's birthday. Some restaurants such as Whispering Canyon CafeCrystal Palace or 50's Prime Time Cafe celebrate with special pizzazz though pick your son's favorite and it will be special.

You can order a cake for your son to be served at the restaurant. You have plenty of freedom to design a cake your son might like. You will need 48 hours notice and you can call the team of cake decorators at 407-827-2253.

You can also have your room decorated or have a special gift delivered to your son at the restaurant you are dining at as well. The team at Disney Floral and Gifts can help you coordinate these items.

Finally, your sons, even the littlest one, can enjoy any attraction at the Walt Disney World Resort which does not have a height restriction. There are few of these so plan to have him with you on the attractions.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
