Hi Vickie,
Welcome to planDisney! It’s great to hear you’re planning for your husband’s mobility needs before your 2026 Walt Disney World vacation, so you can focus on enjoying the magic during your visit.
According to the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, any object that is pushed, pulled, or towed by an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV), wheelchair, stroller, or person is prohibited. Your husband would not be able to tow a second scooter behind his ECV. You mention that your husband uses a large mobility scooter, so I want to remind you of the size guidelines also listed in the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules. Wheeled mobility devices should not exceed 36” (92 cm) in width and 52” (132 cm) in length.
Did you know you can preview accessibility options for the attractions and experiences throughout Walt Disney World Resort? Visit the list of
Disney World Rides & Entertainment and filter by “Accessibility & Advisories.” Next, you can filter by attractions that allow Guests to remain in their wheelchair/ECV, require transfer from the wheelchair/ECV, or must be ambulatory. This is a great way to plan which attractions you want to prioritize for earlier in the day.
Walt Disney World offers ECV Rentals in each of its theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. These are first-come, first-served, and cannot be removed from the location where they were rented. So, if you rented an ECV in Magic Kingdom and decided to park hop to Hollywood Studios, you would return the ECV in Magic Kingdom and use your rental receipt to pick up a new one in Hollywood Studios, subject to availability. However, you would want to make sure your husband could ambulate to the
transportation options available to move between parks or return to your Disney Resort.
I’m sorry this wasn’t the information you were hoping for, Vickie. I hope one of these options works for you. As you continue planning your vacation, we’ll be here at
planDisney if you have any more questions!
