Hiya Alton!
Welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet! I am so excited that you have stopped by to ask us your question, and I am honoured to be a part of your planning journey. While Disney strips sometimes seem like they are forever away, I always feel like planning my trip helps make the time go by faster.
You are correct that your little ones are a bit too young to have their own My Disney Experience account. However, this does not mean you can't make plans or buy the Disney Genie+ service for them! In your
My Disney Experience account, click on "My Family & Friends" and "Add a Guest" at the bottom. Then, select the option "I'll enter their name and age" and enter your little dreamers' information. Since Guests under 13 cannot make their own plans, you will be the manager of their profiles. Then, you will be able to link theme park tickets to their profiles, make theme park reservations for them, and even
purchase Disney Genie+ for them on the day of our visit! You will have the option to select all Guests in your party, but make sure that their tickets and theme park reservations are linked to their profiles. This will also allow you to make ride selections for them, so if multiple adults will be accompanying them, I would suggest
reaching out to a Cast Member via chat, email or phone so that they can link your little ones' profiles to everyone in your party.
Now, I thought I would share some of our tips and tricks to make the wait for your next Disney vacation a bit more magical! Personally, my family loves to have a countdown somewhere in our home so we can be reminded every day of the magic that is coming. You can simply download a mobile app on your smartphone to track it, but I loved having a small blackboard, a new frame or a whiteboard to draw the numbers on them. Plus, you can even have your little ones join in and use their creativity to decorate your countdown board! Our planDisney
panelist Mandy also shared her fantastic tradition of celebrating Dalmatian Day when you are 101 days away from your magical vacation. You can
watch Mandy's traditions along with many other tips over on the
planDisney Panel Instagram account! I hope this was helpful, Alton, and that you and your family will have the best day ever on your upcoming Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your magical visit, please don't hesitate to reach out. You and me, we're in a club now, and you're as welcome as can be!
Have a magical day,
Ariane
