Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Angie! Going gluten free is an issue that you’ll find great assistance for at Walt Disney World Resort! One of my best friends is gluten free due to allergies like your brother’s, so I have some good field experience finding gluten free items.
When you are at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, please stop by the incredible
Terra Treats food cart. It hosts not only GF beverages (juices, beers, etc) but also every food served here is gluten free. Muffins, buffalo wings, hummus and dippers, and more. As for
Disney’s Pop Century Resort, you’ll be able to speak to a chef (as well as seeing an allergy menu; check the gluten free section) to choose some great items for your meals. They offer allergy friendly waffles, chicken tenders and other items. You can also let Disney Dining know ahead of your vacation by emailing
Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com at least 14 days prior to your arrival if you have specific concerns.
When you’re paling around the Parks, I recommend checking out Cosmic Ray’s and Columbia Harbor House (Magic Kingdom), Electric Umbrella and Liberty Inn (Epcot), PizzeRizzo (Disney’s Hollywood Studios), and Flame Tree BBQ (Disney’s Animal Kingdom). Each of these locations should be able provide you an allergy menu, a chef visit and a great meal. For more crowd-sourcing reviews, look at AllergyEats.com/Disney for reviews of guest’s favorite foods! I look forward to helping you plan some more belly filling meals, so please let me know if I can help! See ya real soon! ~ Lindsey P.
