We will be coming to Disney World over Halloween. We are trying to plan a time to go back to our hotel, AOA, for a rest/nap time. How much time should we plan for travel to and from the park to our hotel? Will we have to wait in line on our return?

    Hi Kimberly!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are thrilled that you have decided to send a question our way! Helping Guests plan magical memories is what we love to do!

You must be excited about your upcoming visit! Have you already purchased tickets to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party? This spooktacular celebration takes place at Magic Kingdom Park on select nights. A separate ticket is required, and Guests of all ages are welcome to dress up for the occasion and even go trick or treating! This is my favorite special event at the Walt Disney World Resort and I do hope you get to experience it.

With so many things to see and do, my family also needs to take a break during the day. My 6-year-old daughter is used to taking naps after lunch, so that’s when we usually go back to our Disney Resort hotel to rest. Last year we stayed at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and bus transportation to and from the parks usually took 20 to 25 minutes. You also have to plan time to wait at the bus stop, since buses operate at approximately 20-minute intervals, but we never waited longer than 10 to 15 minutes for a bus to arrive.

I hope this helps you while planning, Kimberly! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    See ya real soon!
