    We are coming to Disney World for the first time in June with our 4 yo and are planning to arrive in the am but we are not going to go to the parks until the next day. What are some fun activities to do on the day of arrival that don't involve the parks?

    One of my favorite places at Disney outside the parks is visiting Downtown Disney.   If you are looking for a casual place to spend the afternoon and grab something to eat, you can't go wrong here.   With a four-year old, you would particularly want to visit the Downtown Disney Marketplace, where the World of Disney (Disney's largest store) and the Lego Imagination Center are located.     These were big hits with my kids (and still are).   You will find numerous restaurants as well, including a Rainforest Cafe.    Downtown Disney is convenient to get to as well.   You will find bus transportation to and from Downtown Disney making it easy to get around as well.
