We will be coming to Disney World Feb. 14-21, 2009,how bad will the crowds be during that time? If you have any tips, please let me know.

Hi, Cindy!  I love Disney World in February, because I think the weather is beautiful!  I'll be there myself two of the days you'll be enjoying your vacation!

The first weekend you are there will be busy.  With Valentine's Day and President's weekend, crowds will be a bit on the high side, but they should start to level off by the end of the week.  There are ways to beat the crowds and make the trip a little easier.

Where you can, use Fast Pass.  What my family does is I'll get in line for something for the younger kids, and send Dad off to get a Fast Pass for something else.  Before we go ride our fast pass ride, we wait until we are within the time frame to get another Fast Pass, and we obtain that so we have something else already lined up with minimal wait time.

Do use the "go left" theory of theme park navigation.  A majority of the guests go to the right when they arrive.  Go left and beat some of the traffic.

Lines are a bit shorter during the parades, so if you don't mind missing a parade, that time is usually a pretty good time to catch a shorter wait time on something popular.  We also find that eating during off peak times helps us find tables easier at counter service places.  We might eat lunch at 11 instead of noon, and the crowds seem much more manageable.

I tell my girls all the time - we'll see what we can see, and do what we can do, and we know that even on the busiest day, we'd much rather be at Disney World than anywhere else!
