Hi Neha!
Walt Disney World is so festive during the holidays! The parks are decked out with zillions of twinkling lights, thousands of bright red poinsettias, and hundreds of brilliantly decorated Christmas trees. I love the Mickey shaped wreaths that adorn the lampposts.
Neha, it is definitely not too late to book ride times because the brand new system,
Disney's Genie+, is only applicable the day of your park visit; there is no longer the need to reserve your attraction times in advance. Genie+, which replaces the former FastPass+, grants your wish to spend more time zipping and dipping on roller coasters and encountering favorite characters and less time waiting in line. Throughout the day, Genie+ allows you to pick a one hour time window for
Lightning Lane access for attractions, one at a time, using your
My Disney Experience app. You can book your first one starting at 7:00 am. If you snag a 9:30 am time for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, as soon as you tap into the wildest ride in the wilderness, you can book your next ride. You can use as many Genie+ Lightning Lane accesses as time and demand allow. On a recent trip I was able to use at least half a dozen in the Magic Kingdom. This ticket add-on is $15.00 per day.
Highly popular attractions, such as
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and the
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, offer i
ndividual Lightning Lane selections as a separate purchase. These are also acquired through your My Disney Experience app the day of and you may buy up to two per day. Prices vary by ride and demand.
Wishing you a wonderful visit to see Mickey!
