    I am coming to disney world with my 3 children and 2 grandchildren to celebrate my 70th birthday on october 18 2008. will there be any perks fomy guests and myself? I want to know where I can have a delious lobster dinner omy birthday?

    Hi Lorraine,

    I think this should be your day and you should enjoy the best of the best!  In my opinion, Narcoosee's (located at the Grand Floridian) is just that place!  I don't know how young your grandchildren are and although this is a signature restaurant, I have seen children dining there and this is the place to get your Lobster dinner.  They do have on the menu (subject to change, but the following menu items I think they always have on their menu), a whole Lobster as well as Lobster Tail and Filet Mignon (Surf and Turf).  The location of this restaurant is superb as it is located right on the water front (by the boat dock) and it is the perfect viewing spot for the Magic Kingdom fireworks (including piped in music).  I would try to find out when the fireworks are scheduled in Magic Kingdom on the evening you will be dining and try to make your reservation close to that time.  The lights will go down inside the restaurant and the chefs put a hold on all the food so everyone can enjoy the show from either their table or from the patio and when the show is over they start serving the food again.  It is timed perfectly and you are not rushed one bit!  So, great location, a view of Cinderella's Castle, fireworks, delectable food and wonderful service...you can't go wrong.  When you arrive at the podium to check-in, I would tell them that you are celebrating a very special birthday...who knows what surprises may come your way!?!?

    I hope you know that you can also request a complimentary "It's my birthday" button from any Guest Relations inside any of the Parks, Downtown Disney or WDW Resort.  Wear it during your vacation for some possible "extra" added magic!  Happy Birthday in advance and you picked the right place to celebrate.  Have a magical time!
