We are coming to Disney World 9/9- 9/16/2010. I checked out the parks' hours and am wondering why on Friday and Saturday 9/10-9/11 Magic Kingdom closes at 6pm? It seems to be the only time it's closed that early on the weekend. Thanks for your help!

Hi Shavonn!  The Magic Kingdom will close early on select dates due to large groups or events taking place in the park.  This does not happen often as Disney wants to make sure all their guests are happy and have ample time to enjoy the magic but once in a while your vacation might coincide with such an event.  This park closed this past week for a very large international tourism group party but we all had notice to make sure we could plan dining and other activities elsewhere.

I am not able to get this specific information about the closing but this is usually what takes place.  Make your dining and park plans to work around these early closings.
