Hi, I am coming to disney world in Aug. I am bringing my 3children 20YO, 18YO and 14YO and my 20YO has Mito is in a wheelchair, has a G-Tube, Deaf, and is MR, my 18YO has Autism, and 14YO has Kidney Disease and Cancer what can I do to Accodamate it all?TY

You certainly have some challenges, Terri.  I hope you will have an adult companion on hand to help you manage it all.  Beyond that, I would recommend visiting Guest Services when first you enter the theme park.  Speak to a Cast Member there about the disabilities your children face.  You should be prepared to offer very specific details about their individual needs.  The Cast Member will guide this conversation, possibly asking questions about the needs so as to determine how best to accommodate your family.  Once that is determined, he or she will provide you with a Guest Assistance Card that will allow you permission to areas set aside for those with special needs.  Because your traveling party includes someone in a wheelchair, for example, you will most likely be granted permission to access alternate entrances for attractions that cannot accommodate a wheelchair in the stand-by queue.  I cannot give you all the ways in which your family might be accommodated, but the Cast Member you speak with will make every effort to ensure your family's needs are met.  Wishing you an especially magical trip, Terri!

Meet the Panelist: Darcie, Alabama

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
