Hi There! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your excellent question!
Oh no, Tanika, I am so sorry to hear that you are having trouble securing an
Advanced Dining Reservation for a Character Dining experience. Most of my
Walt Disney World Resort visits are booked relatively last minute, causing me to miss the 60-day reservation window, so I know exactly how you are feeling. But, worry not, Tanika! I have a few tips that have worked really well for me in the past.
First, I highly recommend using your
My Disney Experience app to search for available reservations. It's the easiest way to get the most up-to-date availability in real-time. I like to think of it as having a reservation finding fairy godmother right in the palm of my hand! To start your reservation search, simply log into your My Disney Experience app and click on the "+" in the middle of the navigation bar. From there, select "Check Dining Availability" and enter your party size and the date you are looking to dine. You can then browse through different meal times, view all available restaurants, and follow the prompts to secure your reservation.
Now, don't lose faith if you're not seeing the reservation you were hoping for, Tanika! One of my all-time top Walt Disney World Vacation planning tips is to keep a super close eye on your My Disney Experience app in the days leading up to your vacation. Guest's plans change all the time, and since there is a $10 charge per Guest for any reservation cancellation done with less than 24 hours notice, you will see that many dining times pop up in the days and weeks leading up to your visit as cancellations come through. So, I like to check the app about 2-3 times per day and almost always find the reservation I am looking for. This is especially common in the few days before my arrival. As our pal Peter Pan once said, "All you need is faith, trust, and a little pixie dust!"
For now, I would recommend securing a different Advanced Dining Reservation for breakfast, just in case you aren't able to get the one you are looking for. Then, you can just cancel the one you have now if you find something else you would rather do. Of course, you honestly cannot go wrong with any of the incredible restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort. Still, one of my personal favorites for breakfast is
Ale & Compass Restaurant at
Disney's Yacht Club Resort. As a bonus, I find that this one is a bit of a hidden gem and is available more times than not! The Salted Caramel-Apple French Toast is super delicious, so don't sleep on this fantastic spot!
Tanika, I hope my tips will be helpful to you! If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to visit us again!
See you real soon!
