Coming to Disney in 3 weeks! My two kids (age 6) are using the DDP. If I want to get a snack or order a quick service meal for the three of us can I just have my arm band scanned or do the kids need to have theirs scanned as well?

Hi Colleen!  I am so excited for you, your vacation is so close!  Do you have a countdown going?  My six year old always loves to countdown our trips.

When you are on the Disney Dining Plan everyone who is staying in your group has their Disney Dining Plan Credits in a virtual pot, so to speak.  Anyone in your room, at anytime, may pull from the group of credits.  So you can certainly pay for everyone's meal with the quick touch of your MagicBand.  On the bottom of your receipt it will show you how many credits your party collectively has left.

We love using the Disney Dining Plan.  Often times, my daughter will "pay" for our dinner with the touch of her MagicBand.  It makes her feel so grown up to treat us to a meal at Walt Disney World.  It's really cute, maybe your children will want to do the same.

Have a magical time on vacation and if you think of another question before your trip, feel free to write me back.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
