I am coming to disney the 1st week of April. I have an 8 yr. old and 10 year old grandson. Which park would you suggest if you had to make a choice between the 2. Magic Kingdom vs Hollywood Studios.

Hello Wendy!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom´s Panel.

How exciting and special to visit Walt Disney World with two grandsons.  Your grandsons are at an age that they will love all Disney parks.  Still, if you have to choose - Magic Kingdom is the park that offers the most attractions, shows, special events and dining experiences.  Magic Kingdom is truly a magical place.

During the first week of April you will experience high crowds and long parks hours.  Magic Kingdom will be opening really early and opening until really late (especially on Friday April 5).
To make the most of your vacation I highly recommend to:
    - be at the park at opening time,
    - have lunch, take a nap and have dinner during park peak hours (12 pm - 8 pm),
    - come back and enjoy until park closing time.

Disney´s Hollywood Studios does feature some amazing and favorite attractions (Toy Story Midway Mania, Star Tours , Rock & Roller Coaster and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror) and shows (Muppet Vision 3D, Indiana Jones  and Fantasmic!).  Hollywood Studio also features the Jedi Training Academy, an interactive activity were kids learn how to defend themselves against the Dark Side.  This is really an awesome experience for kids and requires being early at the park.

Either park will be a great experience to share with your grandsons, but Magic Kingdom features so many favorite activities that I do not have enough space to list them all.

My kids can visit Magic Kingdom three or more times in a single vacation, while visiting just once all other parks.

Happy to help you plan a magical Disney vacation.
