We are coming to Disney (1st visit) 4/16- 4/23- 2 kids age 12 & 13. We will only be getting 3 base tickets. Which 3 WDW parks should we visit? Also, can we leave the parks to eat food we have packed in a cooler in the car in the parking lot?

    Hi Tracy,

Decisions, decisions...it's hard to choose three out of the four main theme parks at Walt Disney World as they each have something extraordinary to offer.  However, If I were traveling with tweens (as I often do), I would definitely visit Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios because of the exciting thrill rides there.  Tweens typically love a good thrill ride!  As a Disney traditionalist, I would then choose the Magic Kingdom for my third day, but if your kids are big-time animal lovers then head to Disney's Animal Kingdom instead.

As for the second part of your question, yes you may head out to your car during your day at the parks to enjoy food left there in your cooler.  Just be sure to retain your park passes to present for readmission when you are done with your meal.

Have fun later this month at Walt Disney World!  I wish I were going too.
