If you're staying at a Disney resort, then I would definitely recommend taking advantage of the Extra Magic Hours offered during your vacation. Start by visiting the theme park that offers early morning entry, then take a midday break for a nap or swim, and then "hop" to the theme park that is staying open late for onsite hotel guests.

Otherwise, I'd recommend you look at the unofficial website www.touringplans.com for recommendations on which theme parks tend to be more popular on certain days of the week and plan according to projected crowd patterns for your August travel dates.
