Congrats to your team for making it to Summit! Your cheerleaders are going to have so much fun both on and off the mat. I'm familiar with the way those attending this event had to purchase their packages, and that you won't receive any Disney information until you arrive in Orlando.
Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel who also purchase Magic Your Way theme park tickets at the time of booking can add a
Disney Dining Plan to their vacation up until 24 hours before their arrival. I do, however, have two workarounds, Melissa.
If your group is flying into Orlando International Airport and are utilizing
Disney's Magical Express transportation, the baggage tags that you receive will have a few codes on them. One of these should be your actual Disney reservation number. If you can decipher that reservation number now you should be able to add a dining plan to your trip. Once you get your luggage tags call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservation phone number at (407) 939-1936 and they will be happy to help.
If that didn't work, or you're not flying in for the competition, I would recommend redirecting the funds you would have spent on a dining plan to buying
Disney Gift Cards. You can even call it the 'D2 DIY Dining Plan.' Disney Gift Cards come in a variety of designs and characters online. They can also be found locally in your home town at grocery stores, big box retailers, warehouse clubs, and drugstores. You can use these cards to pay for meals at the time of their purchase, or you can use them to
pay off meals charged to your MagicBands.
