I am coming to Disney in the summer and I wanted to wear a halter-top tank top because of the heat. Is that allowed or is it against the dress code?

Hello there Alexis, thank you for stopping by planDisney with your great question!

It definitely can be warm during the summer months, and you'll definitely want to dress for the weather!  There is a dress code at the Disneyland Resort, and it does state that all clothing must be viewed as appropriate for a family environment, and any clothing that exposes excessive portions of skin will not be permitted.  I would use your best judgment when it comes to what you wear to the parks, and as long as you'd feel comfortable wearing it in front of your Fairy Godmother, then it should be ok!

I always recommend bringing layers to wear when you head to the parks, even if it's during the hot summer months.  Once you've been outside in the sun all day, the nights can feel especially cool!  If you are in need of any new Disney apparel before you arrive for your trip, I recommend checking out the Disney Store site, or heading to the World of Disney store in the Downtown Disney District as soon as you arrive.  I usually come home with at least one new piece of Disneyland Resort apparel from each trip, it's hard to pick just a few things when there is so much to choose from!

I hope this information helps you decide what to pack for your trip, Alexis!  If you have any other questions we can help with, please come back to planDisney and ask!

    Have a magical day,
    Melissa
