Hi! I am coming to Disney in Sept with a girl 13, two boys 2 & 4. Which would you recommend for both ages? 13 yr old wants thrill and I was wondering how Expedition Everest compares to Tower of Terror on thrill/scary level. We are doing MK & MNSHP

    Hi Kimberly,

I have a wide spread between my kids ages too. The great thing about Disney World is that there is something fun for everyone and many attractions that you can enjoy together.

Expedition Everest (EE) and and Tower of Terror (TOT) are two of my favorite rides. They are both very different, but equally cool thrill rides. TOT is often considered scary because of the unknown. You never know when it's going to drop down or shoot back up. It's the anticipation that gets a lot of people's adrenaline flowing. EE is an awesome roller coaster. The "scariest" part is when it goes backwards briefly because you don't know what to expect. In my opinion, Rock 'n Roller Coaster is much more intense. It's in the dark and it does a loop. If your 13 year old likes thrill rides, she will love both of these. My 10 year old has ridden all 3 of these ever since she was tall enough. Yes, at 4 years old she rode TOT with her hands in the air! If I were to rate TOT and EE, I'd say TOT is scarier.

There are a lot of attractions that your oldest can go on with the little ones. For example: The majority of the rides in Fantasyland are fun for everyone. In addition, you can all go on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Pirates of the Caribbean, explore Tom Sawyer Island and much more at the Magic Kingdom. Be sure to check out Mickey's PhilharMagic too.

In the Animal Kingdom, the Kilimanjaro Safari, Maharajah Jungle Trek, Pangani Forest Exploration Trail and the shows are great for everyone. At Hollywood Studios Toy Story Mania is fun for all ages. At Epcot, head to the Seas with Nemo and Friends, Imagination Pavilion and Spaceship Earth for family fun together.

I'm out of room, but if you would like more tips simply send me a follow up question.

    Wishing you a wonderful vacation,
