We are coming to disney in October 2011, our 13 year old son is a whelchair user. We have been looking at hiring a wheelchair accessible vehicle whilst we are there to make our lives easier. Please can you or anyone else recommend a rental company to use.

    Hi Ian,
Thanks for bringing this question to the Mom's Panel!  My recommendation to you would be to contact Alamo Car Rentals.  They are committed to serving Walt Disney World guests with mobility impairment and have set up a 24 hour toll-free information line; give them a call at 800-651-1223.

Walt Disney World works hard to make vacations easier for everyone;  if you have not yet seen it, check out this website ink for those with mobility impairment.  If you have any more questions, please let me know and I will do my best to answer!  Have a wonderful vacation!

Walt Disney World stole my heart when my parents introduced me to the magic the year it opened. I fondly remember my first 'Mickey Mouse in a Glass House' balloon! I still visit with my parents-and now with my husband and our two teens. Learn More About Lynn
