I am coming to Disney next year with my grandchilden aged 2 to 8 and would like to stay in a moderate hotel which do you think would best something easy for transport to the theme parks

    Hi Lynn!

What a special way to spend time with your grandchildren; I'm sure you will make memories that will last a lifetime.  All Disney Resorts offer complimentary transportation to and from all four theme parks, so no matter which resort you choose, getting to and from the theme parks will be a breeze! Here is a map of Walt Disney World Resort so you can see the distance between the Theme Parks and each of the Walt Disney World Resorts.

For many families, choosing a Disney Resort comes down to preference.  If I had to choose a favourite, I would definitely suggest Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside Resort.  This Resort is located in the Downtown Disney area of Walt Disney World.Recently, the Resort has added a block of specially decorated Royal Guest Rooms.  My daughter absolutely loves The Royal Guest Rooms, designed especially for Princesses and all Royalty.  These regal themed rooms even have fibre-optic headboards for your very own personal fireworks display!  Another option I would recommend would be Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, located in the Epcot area of Walt Disney World.  Like the Royal Rooms, this Resort offers Pirate themed rooms, that is sure to sure to satisfy any buccaneer.  My daughter prefers the pool at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.

As I mentioned before, you really can't go wrong with any of Disney's Moderate Resorts.  I would suggest showing your grandchildren some pictures of the resorts and look at the amenities and services that appeal to your lifestyle.

If you have any further questions, please come and visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel again.  I would love to help as you begin to plan your magical vacation.
