We are coming to disney this May staying at the Rivera resort and have purchased canadian resident exchange certificate tickets already. How do we activate these tickets to start reserving our parks and attractions before we arrive?

    Bonjour Giovanni!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for sending this great question our way! I was thrilled to be answering your question today as I always love sharing the magic with my fellow Canadian guests, and since I grew up in Quebec, that practically makes us neighbours, right? You must be so excited to leave the Canadian cold for Florida's warm and sunny climate; I know that was always one of my favourite parts about visiting the Walt Disney World Resort.

Now, let's talk about these fantastic Canadian Resident tickets! I love taking advantage of the Special Offers Canadian residents have access to, and I am so happy that you also got to experience that extra friendly magic. Much like a Florida resident ticket, you will not have to do anything to activate your ticket before your arrival. Indeed, you only have to activate your ticket upon arrival at your first theme park reservation. There, you will have to go to a Guest Relations window and show proof of your Canadian residency, like your Canadian passport, for example. Then, you will be able to tap your card and spend the rest of your vacation soaking in all the magic! Just make sure that you have linked your tickets to your My Disney Experience mobile app and that you have made your theme park reservations. To do so, simply log into your My Disney Experience account, then click on "My Plans" and on the blue "Add More Plans" tab. Then, select "Link Reservations and Purchases," click on the "Tickets" option and enter the confirmation number of your tickets. And voilà, you are all set to make your theme park reservations and plan your Disney vacation like a pro!

Giovanni, you truly picked an especially magical time to come to visit with the World's Most Magical Celebration in full swing and the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival kicking off its 2022 season. At Magic Kingdom Park, I would highly recommend stopping by Cinderella Castle to watch Mickey and his friends in the brand new show Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire. Also at Magic Kingdom Park, make sure to get a good spot on Main Street USA to watch the wondrous and wonderful Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade go by again after being paused for the last couple of years. Lastly, I would highly recommend checking out all the unique activities and treats the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival has to offer. Are you feeling adventurous? Try the Frushi over at the Japan pavilion! Frushi makes the best, refreshing treat on a sunny Florida day with its fresh fruits, sweet rice, and creamy topping.

I hope this was helpful, Giovanni, and that you and your family have the best day ever on your upcoming Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your visit, don't hesitate to reach out. Wondering if we can answer a question or not? The answer is always: yes, we Can-ada!

    Have a magical day,
