I am coming to Disney with my friend and her disabled mother, aged 80+, and would like to know what evening shows would be suitable for us? They have been there before but it is my first visit. We will be staying in a Disney hotel but not sure which one.

Hi, Sue!  It's hard to tell you which shows you might like without knowing a little bit more about you, but I'll tell you about some that are available, and maybe that will help you choose!

The Spirit of Aloha dinner show at the Polynesian resort features an island inspired dinner that usually includes a roast chicken, pork loin, Hawaiian potato salad, and other side dishes.  The show takes place in an open air theater, and you'll enjoy some traditional Polynesian music and dancing demonstrations.

The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue provides another all you care to eat, family style meal of home cooking type of favorites.  There is fried chicken, ribs, beans, and a strawberry shortcake for dessert.  The show is a slapstick, corny, all out fun performance that appeals to the young and the young at heart.

La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil is an amazing circus performance that features amazing acrobats, beautiful music, and fantastic color.  You'll see clowns, dancers, and other performance acts you might find at a traditional circus, but this is elevated to a true art form.

You might also enjoy a visit to Raglan Road Irish Pub.  They have traditional Irish step dancers that perform each evening with Irish music.  It can get a bit loud, but it's a nice dinner, and a great way to spend an evening.

I hope this gives you some ideas for things to do to fill your evenings!  It sounds like this might be a wonderful vacation, and if you need any other help, we're right here for you!
