We are coming to disney for our first visit to celebrate my son's 6th birthday on 2/1 - 2/9. We are staying on the resort, and have the disney dining plan. How do i go about planning meals, which park to visit when? any help appreciated!

    Hi Holly,

I can't think of anywhere better to celebrate a birthday than Walt Disney World!

I would recommend that you firstly decide which Disney Park you will be visiting each day of your stay. Once you have your days planned out, then start to think about your dining reservations.

I always try to make dining reservations either in the park that we will be visiting or at a resort which is situated nearby. The main reason for doing this is to minimise the amount of time spent travelling during the day and to maximise our time in the parks. I would also recommend making dining reservations for times when you would normally eat your meals so that you do not disrupt your childs routine too much.

Dining reservations can be made up to 180 days prior to your trip online or by calling (407) 939-3463.

When you arrive, I would recommend that you aim to be at the Disney Parks for park opening each day. You will be amazed at just how many attractions you will be able to experience in the first few hours before many Guests arrive for the day.

You could then head back to your Disney Resort hotel for a nap or some relaxation time in the afternoon if your little one gets tired before returning to enjoy some of the nighttime entertainment.

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
