We are coming to Disney for the first time in 10 years with our 12 year old, staying on Disney property and we will be staying at the All Stars Movie Resort in a preferred room. How do you know which part you will be staying in before you arrive? Thanks

    Hi there David!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

Preferred Rooms at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort are located in the buildings which are closest to Cinema hall - the resort's main lobby and location of the Food Court and shopping area. These include the Toy Story, Fantasia and 101 Dalmatians themed buildings.

If there is one 'theme' or building you'd prefer over another, you may want to phone in your request and have it notated on your resort room file prior to room assignment. Simply call (407) 939-7429 and have your Resort Confirmation number handy at the time of your call. Let the Cast Member know that you'd like to place a room request on your file. Do note that your request cannot be guaranteed and will be based on availability at the time of your room assignment. Having your preference notated on file will definitely increase the likelihood of your request being granted.

Upon arrival at the resort for check-in, simply ask the Cast Member checking you in if you were able to be located in the "such-and-such" building - just to be sure!

If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to write me back David. It would be my pleasure to assist you further and I'd love to hear from you again!

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
