Coming to Disney for the first time since i was a kid. I have an 8 year who will be turning 9 when we are down there in Oct, total surprise for her. Are there special things that Disney does for first timers and birthday's?

    Hello Jennifer!

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope you are having a magical week. What a delightful surprise to spend a birthday at Walt Disney World! Your daughter will have such an amazing time!

If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, when you check in, they would be more than happy to provide birthday buttons for your visit. You can also pick the complimentary buttons up at Guest Relations at either park once you arrive. I love how some Cast Members go out of their way to wish people a Happy Birthday or whatever they are celebrating when they see these buttons! They also have buttons celebrating your first visit!

I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions as you are planning your visit.

    See you real soon!
