Hi. We are coming to Disney for the first time in June. I am setting up our fast passes. We will be visiting all 4 parks. Are there any rides or attractions that it really isn't necessary to use a fast pass for? Thanks

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Wendy! I'm so glad you stopped by. This is a great question, especially for your first visit to Walt Disney World Resort. I know the planning process can seem overwhelming at times. But once you are on your vacation, you'll be thankful that you took this time to set a few plans in place.

When it comes to making FastPass+ selections, my method is to choose the attractions that matter the most to us as a family first and then fill in the gaps from there. We are early-risers so we arrive to the parks a few minutes before they open and enjoy lower crowds for the first couple of hours. Then we take a break and start using our FastPass+ selections in early afternoon. This has worked well for us and we don't leave the park feeling like we missed out on our favorites.

I will say that with the exception of For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, which is quite popular, we try not to use our FastPass+ selections on shows. Most venues offer a decent view from anywhere in the theater so it's not necessary for us. That said, many people enjoy getting as close to the stage as possible, so if this sounds like your family, you may want to get into the theater a little earlier than everyone else.

My main advice to you is to go ahead and make the FastPass+ selections for all of your days as soon as you can. Once you have them in place, you can change them around if you need to.

I hope this helps you plan a fantastic vacation, Wendy! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
