Coming to Disney & a few days after we arrive my son will become 10. I plan on buying tickets before we leave at AAA, but do I have to purchase an adult ticket since he will turn 10 while we are there? We will visit parks while he is still 9.

    Christina,

Sooooooooooooo exciting that your son will be able to celebrate his birthday at Disney!!!  I can't think of a better place to celebrate!  Disney would probably want me to tell you that technically you should upgrade his ticket once he turns 10.  But honestly, I don't think you'll have a problem purchasing a 3 - 9 year old ticket for your son and using it throughout your visit so I wouldn't worry about it until your next trip.

Be sure to stop by any Guest Relations location and pick up a "Happy Birthday" button for your son.  If you'd like to celebrate with a birthday cake for him, call the Disney Cake Hotline at 407-827-2253 where you can special order a cake for him.  They require at least 48 hours notice.  If you're making any dining reservations, be sure to them you have a birthday boy in your party.

Hope your trip is magical and your son has an incredible birthday!
