Hello, we are coming to Disney Feb 4th and staying @ POP! I have read there is a nearby WalMart. My question is how much would it cost to take a taxi/cab from POP to WalMart? Also how long of a drive is it? And also do the taxi's have carseats if requested

    Hi Andrea!

Wow- Your vacation is almost here! Have you hit the point of "too excited to sleep?"

Yes, you are correct. There is a Super Walmart nearby, approx 6 miles from Disney's Pop Century.

A cab is easily available to you by requesting one from the Valet area right outside Disney's Pop Century main entrance and you can also request car seats. We've used Mears several times in the past and they have a handy taxi fare estimator on their website to provide you an idea of the fare. Given the two addresses I entered, they estimated your one way fare to be $18.00, plus tip.

Here's my best advice to you, Andrea. Check out WeGoShop.com who will personally deliver groceries to you on your arrival day. What I love about wegoshop.com is the ability to select a store of your choice, including Walmart, if requested. Her fees are very reasonable and depending on your total grocery receipt, will likely be more economical than taking a taxi. The ease of providing wegoshop.com a list of groceries ahead of time allowed for a much easier arrival day. My family headed to the pool and I met the delivery service at a prearranged time in our Resort hotel lobby.

I hope you have a magical trip, Andrea, and please visit us again for last minute questions!
