Greetings, Karen, and welcome to planDisney!
A spring visit is my favorite time of the year to visit. Not only is my birthday around that time, but you can usually find the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival happening around that time as well. I might be slightly biased, but that is my favorite festival of them all. This one and the Festival of the Holidays, of course.
Depending on how the booking has been done, you have a few options. The first is purchasing your MagicBands using your Disney Resort Reservation to access the
pre-arrival savings. This option can be done by any member listed on the resort reservation using the My Disney Experience app. The downfall is that your daughter and son-in-law will see on their end that the pre-arrival purchases were made. (If you are all linked to the same Disney Resort Reservation.)
Your second option is to purchase MagicBands from the
Disney Store online. The best part of shopping from the Disney Store is that you can usually find a larger selection of
MagicBand+ options. There is something to fit each family member's personality. And I've found the selection to be slightly bigger on the Disney Store's website. You will have
to link each of these MagicBand+ to their rightful owner, using the My Disney Experience app after purchasing. After following the three easy steps, everything will be connected, and you’ll be good to go. Trust me, the steps are fairly easy! We managed to link my dad’s new MagicBand+ on the bus ride from our resort to Animal Kingdom. The only thing you’ll want to remember to do is charge them. And bring their chargers with you to use throughout your trip.
Karen, I do hope this helps you purchase and select new MagicBands for your family. It’s such a thoughtful gift that can be used for years, and trips, to come. If you get stuck, need shopping opinions, or need any more help, please send
me a message. I’ll be more than happy to help!
Create new memories,
Shantel
