Hey there, Shawnda! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for sharing your question with us!
I’m always happy to help a fellow (or soon-to-be) Annual Passholder. I purchased my first Annual Pass this year and loved all the perks, discounts, and extras. If you haven’t selected your pass type yet, you can find an overview of the different options
here. Also, here is a
list of the current passholder discounts (discounts and perks are subject to change) that allows you to filter by location and type of discount. I found this super helpful when planning my last Walt Disney World vacation.
New Annual Passes expire one year from the date they are used to enter a Walt Disney World theme park. The expiration date is not based on the purchase date. That means you could buy a pass today, but if you don’t activate it to visit a theme park until December 27th, 2025, then the expiration date will be December 27th, 2026. You can find more information on the Annual Pass terms and conditions
here.
If you ever need to find your Annual Pass expiration date, just check the My Disney Experience mobile app. Tap the menu icon (the three lines) in the bottom right of your screen, and then select My Tickets & Passes. Any valid tickets and passes will appear, and you’ll see the expiration date just below your Annual Pass’s barcode.
Shawnda, I hope this information is helpful and that you have an amazing visit to Walt Disney World later this month. Pop right back if you have any more trip planning questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!
Magical travels!
Matt
