Coming to Disney 8/21 to 8/28 with DD6, staying at POR Royal room. Is it easier to drive to MK and take boat to FW for HoopDeeDoo or drive straight there? Read that the parking areas may be unavailable or having work done. Any other options?

    Hi Joan,

What a great question!  There's no obvious best answer but here are my two preferred suggestions:

    1.  Take a Magic Kingdom-bound bus from your home resort.  Then transfer to a Fort Wilderness-boat at the Magic Kingdom.  The Hoop-Dee-Do Musical Revue is a short walk from this dock.

    2.  Drive directly to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.  You'll have to park near the entrance of the resort grounds and then take an internal resort bus to Pioneer Hall, but this is a fun way to reach your destination. This is likely the route I, personally, would take.

I don't recommend that you drive to the Magic Kingdom in your own car.  This would not be the most efficient way to get to the Hoop-Dee-Do Musical Revue from Disney's Port Orleans Resort.

Enjoy the show and be sure to enjoy some strawberry shortcake for me while you're there.
