We are coming to Disney California in January next uer 2027 unfortunately the week after the Christmas decorations are taken down 😪 .I see that the lunar year starts the end of the month but what will be on for the middle of January

Hi there, Diane! Welcome to planDisney. There’s something really special about visiting the parks in that little “in-between” window when the holiday sparkle has just come down and Lunar New Year hasn’t quite arrived yet. It’s like Disneyland gets a chance to breathe, and in that moment, you really get to experience the parks in their purest form.

This is the perfect time to slow down and lean into the simplicity of it all. You can really savor the little things that make Disneyland so magical every day of the year. A leisurely stroll down Main Street, U.S.A, a ride on the Disneyland Railroad, or even just sitting on a bench by the Partners statue can feel extra meaningful when the parks are a bit quieter.

It’s also a great time to embrace those cozy winter moments. I love grabbing something warm like clam chowder in a bread bowl and just wander at an easy pace. Spots like Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe or Royal Street Veranda are perfect for that kind of relaxed, no-rush break in your day.

You may also notice it’s easier to really soak in the entertainment and atmosphere when things are calmer. You can slow down enough to catch the Dapper Dans, enjoy the ambiance along your favorite lands, or take a nighttime ride on Radiator Springs Racers when all the neon lights really shine. These are the kinds of details that are so easy to miss when the parks are busier.

Diane, thank you so much for visiting planDisney! I hope this easygoing take on visiting Disneyland helps as you plan your upcoming visit. If you have any more questions or need planning ideas, planDisney is here for you!
