Coming to Disney in August. Niece (age 4) has severe peanut/tree nut allergy. There is a cookie that usually comes with the QS kids meals- can you tell me if this cookie is nut free? Thank you.

    Hi JanaLee,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel from one Canadian to another!  What a great question!  After doing some research, I have found out the the pre-packaged cookie that is offered as a dessert option with kids meals is in fact nut free.  As always, I do recommend double checking with the Cast Members to ensure the product is nut-free, as different Quick-Service locations may offer different products.  Ingredient lists are also available at most Quick-Service locations for guests upon request.  I would also suggest that you inform the Cast Members at Quick-Service dining locations of your niece's allergy before ordering.  This way the Cast Members will be able to provide your party with nut-free options, as well as make sure that her food is prepared just for her.  At Table-Service dining locations, be sure to inform the Cast Members when checking in.  The chef will come and speak with you and provide you with options for your niece.

Be sure to contact specialdiets@disneyworld.com after booking your dining reservations but at no later than two weeks prior to your arrival at Walt Disney World Resort.  They will be able to work with you to ensure your niece will be accommodated when dining at Walt Disney World Resort.  In my experience, I have found that Walt Disney World Resort does make every effort to accommodate a large variety of special dietary requests.

I hope you have a magical time on your August trip to Walt Disney World Resort JanaLee.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.  I would be happy to help!
