    We will be coming to Disney in April. Is there a place in Animal Kingdom where we can purchase rain ponchos to wear for the wet rides?

    Hi Sheila,

    You are wise to think about rain gear, even if April isn't a particularly rainy month in Florida.

    Kali River Rapids at Animal Kingdom is the one ride in all of Walt Disney World (outside the water parks, of course) where you are virtually guaranteed to get soaked. I almost always wear a poncho when I ride it.

    Official Disney rain ponchos are available at most of the gift shops in the Disney parks. They are fairly sturdy and reusable. They tend to be on prominent display at the checkout counters when the clouds start to look ominous.

    I usually tuck a cheap, flimsy poncho from my local drugstore into the backpack for each of us to use on water rides so that I can toss them when we're finished if I choose.
