Hey, Kathleen!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I always look for bits of magic and the Resort hotels are no exception. Let's get some adventure lined up for your Disney explorers. Here are a some thoughts that take your kids from the high seas to the Great West.
In December, your family may enjoy a
Holiday Sleigh Ride. They depart from the main entrance of Crockett's Tavern at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and fit up to 4 adults (or 2 adults and 3 small children).
Pony rides and other western activities are offered at the
Tri-Circle-D Ranch at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground for those young whippersnappers. Your 2 and 4-year-old can pretend to be Woody from Toy Story and ride their own Bullseye and the 14-year-old may aim for their own bullseye at the Fort Wilderness Archery Experience.
Pirate Adventure Cruises offer four sea-faring adventures that would be great for your 4-year old buccaneer. Pirates lead these adventures early in the morning because "thars treasure to be had."
Recently, we did a Hidden Mickey Hunt that we got from the front desk at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. This took us all over the resort to find those tricky Mickeys. My kids were rewarded with a Disney pin for their persistence and success.
Disney Dad Tip: Everyday there are games and fun activities by the pool for kids of all ages.
Kathleen, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
