Coming 9/2-9/6, have 3 day base tix. Considering adding one more since its not much more $. Would it be better to add day of arrival or departure? Flight arriving 12:15pm and departing 6:00pm. Using ME both ways. Which would give us more time? Thanks!!

    Hi Jessica,

I would plan to use the extra day on arrival if it were me. Magic Kingdom is open until 10 p.m. that day, and Hollywood Studios has Extra Magic Hours until midnight. Your family probably will be excited and dying to get to a park as soon as they can. Even if it takes you until 3 p.m. or so to reach one of those parks, you still will have several hours of fun.

On your final day, none of the parks opens until 9 a.m. and, when you consider transportation time from the park back to your resort to meet the Magical Express, you would only get a few hours of use from that ticket. And I'm afraid you would feel too rushed and stressed about catching the Magical Express on time to really enjoy your time.

It's always hard to leave. I'd suggest planning a special farewell activity outside of a park that day, such as a character breakfast, shopping at Downtown Disney, a visit to Splitsville bowling alley, a round of miniature golf at Fantasia Gardens or a morning enjoying the resort's pool.

I hope that's helpful. Please let me know if I can offer any advice, based on my experience, as you finish making your plans.
